HighLevel for salons and beauty: fewer no-shows, fewer empty chairs

An empty chair is money you don't get back. Someone books, forgets, and doesn't turn up, and you've turned other people away for that slot. Then there's the DMs at midnight asking "have you got anything Saturday?". I'm in the same boat with my own diary, which is why I like fixing this.

A day of chairs, with one still waiting on a deposit

Made-up names and made-up slots. A marker sweeps the day. Softer than a workshop ticket, because this is a diary.

Example walkthrough

A chair that stays booked

Someone books a colour. The seat is only really taken once the deposit lands. The salon, the client and the £20 are made up.

Alex picks Thursday

The diary shows a cut and colour. The chair is held, not confirmed.

Online booking with a deposit

Clients book themselves in from a link on your Instagram, Facebook or website. HighLevel can take a deposit at the time of booking, through a payment provider like Stripe. People who've paid something tend to take the booking more seriously, and if they don't show, you're not completely out of pocket. You set the deposit and your cancellation policy.

02

Reminders before the appointment

The day before, they get a reminder by text or email with the time and a way to rebook if they can't make it. A rebooked slot is better than an empty one.

03

Bring them back

Most hair and beauty is on a cycle. HighLevel can send a "time for your next appointment?" message a set number of weeks after their last visit, with a booking link.

04

Ask for reviews

After the appointment, a short thank-you and a link to leave a review. Good reviews are how new clients find you.

05

One inbox

Texts, emails and social messages in one place, so you're not hunting through three apps to find who asked about Saturday.

06

What it costs

Texts and card fees are charged on top. The platform and the set-up are on my automation page.

Questions

Things people ask

Can clients pay a deposit when they book?

Yes. HighLevel booking calendars can take a payment at booking through a connected payment provider like Stripe.

Will reminders reduce no-shows?

Reminders give clients a nudge and an easy way to rebook instead of just not turning up. I won't promise a number, but it's one of the simplest fixes there is.

Can clients book from Instagram?

Yes. Put your booking link in your bio or stories and they book straight into your calendar.

Does it work for barbers, nail techs and beauty therapists?

Yes. Anyone who runs on appointments.

What if I have more than one stylist?

HighLevel supports multiple users and calendars, and there's no extra charge per user on the platform.

How much does it cost?

Platform, set-up, texts and payment fees are all on the automation page.
